So, I went to the US Visa site, and tried to track down what sort of Visa's we might need for our trip. Here's how it breaks down, country by country (for all the countries we are either planning or considering going to):
Peru - 90 days, no visa
Bolivia - 30 days, no visa
Argentina - 90 days no visa
South Africa - 90 days, no visa
Kenya - 1 application, 2 photos, $50 (single entry)/ $100 (multiple entry)
Tanzania - 1 photo, $50
Egypt - required, obtained at entry
Turkey - required, obtained at entry, $20 (single entry)/ $65 (multiple entry)
Croatia - 90 days, no visa
Greece - 90 days, no visa
India - application, 2 photos, $150
Thailand - 30 days, no visa
Vietnam - application, 1 photo, fee
Cambodia - application, 1 photo, $20
Laos - 2 applications, 3 photos, $35 + $15
Australia - none
New Zealand - 3 months, no visa
Now, I need to go figure out what that all means.
EDIT: I've been doing research on South Africa. And have stumbled across the Cango Caves, which look really cool. they're on the "Garden Route" which is one area I am considering.
